There is also an observer seat, without voting privileges, solely for the “Union Internationale des Œnologues” (International Oenologists' Association). There is an executive board consisting in a President, a Vice-President, and a Secretary-Treasurer, all of which are appointed by the board of directors. All members of the board of directors elect the President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer during the annual meeting. The President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer are elected for three years starting on the election or nomination date, or until election or nomination of their replacements. By resolution, the board of directors can, at any given time, relieve of their functions any member of the executive board. Furthermore, the Federation meets once a year in a general meeting to allow members to give the executive board the intended orientations and to address questions submitted by members. It is on that occasion that the administration fees are determined.
